Shop Until You Drop or Belonging Over Belongings?
Shopping is fun and entertaining. Buying makes us feel better -- retail therapy, we call it. Yet
our consuming culture is creating a myriad of problems for Americans and after the shine has worn off our purchase (or even
earlier), we find the temporary high from the purchase just that -- a temporary high. This presentation examines why
we shop, why we think we should shop, and what happens to us when belongings become more important than belonging. Tips
for changing consuming behavior are given.

Women on Women: Why Women Continue to Be Each Others' Worst Enemies
The feminist movement of the 1960's focused on men as the majority and men as the enemy of women. Today,
most women think that men are no longer the enemy and many will say that other women create more problems for them than men.
Is this true? Are other women the real enemy? This presentation examines the complex dynamic around women in the
21st Century. Through a discussion of stories and an examination of media, this presentation answers these questions.
