Ann Lowry, Ph.D.

Ann Lowry has over 20 years of experience as an organizational consultant, trainer, and speaker.  She has worked with many organizations in many settings, providing her clients with helpful, confidential, and expert advice.  Because she has a broad range of experience, she is able to bring creative solutions to problems that many organizations may not have considered.  Ann holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Communication from the University of Minnesota, an M.A. in Interpersonal Communication from the University of Northern Iowa, and a B.S. in Secondary Education with majors in English and Communication from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.  Prior to completing her graduate work, she taught high school in Waterloo, Iowa.  She has served of faculties at the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management and St. Catherine University.  She has served as a director in career and administrative services.  She is also certified to administer the ECI (Emotional Competence Inventory).

Karen Poortvliet, B.S., CCRA

Karen Poortvliet has over 20 years of experience working in the medical industry.  She has experience in both pharmaceutical testing and medical device trials.  Her phara experience has been in oncology, hemotology, cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, dermatology and pulmonology and controlled substances.  Her device experience includes: orthopedic joint replacements and dynamic disc replacement, cardiac stents and congenital conditions repair and post surgical systemic stasis.   As a certified clinical research associate she is an expert in the initiation, conduct, and completion of all aspects of clinical trial management including preliminary negotiation with regulatory authrorities (example: FDA), development of the clinical prodical, development and implementation of ongoing training while insuring the safety of individuals participating in clinical trials. Karen's  years of experience in both the Pharma and Medical Device industries include in-house, consulting on-site, and home-based (telecommuting) work.    She’s done the work of a project assistant, CRA, QA Auditor, Project Manager & Director with all the attendant duties that accompany those positions.  The companies for whom Karen has worked ranged in size from 3 employees to 20,000+.  We are confident that Karen’s experience and insight into the clinical research industry will be a boon to your needs.  She leads our team of consultants in Clinical Research Services.New paragraph

Brad Goodell, B.A., M.S.

Brad is a Junior Associate for Ann Lowry and Associates.  Brad has Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Hamline University where he also received a certificate in conflict resolution; and an M.S. in Counseling Psychology from Minnesota School of Professional Psychology (Argosy University).  He is currently completing his Psy.D in counseling psychology.  Brad has worked in a variety of settings.  He has assisted with strategic planning projects and training programs.  He is a trained conflict resolution facilitator and has worked in community settings doing conflict resolution between individuals from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds.  He has special expertise in working with transgendered individuals as well.  Brad is able to assist others come to creative solutions to problems because of his excellent interpersonal communication skills and expertise in psychology.
